The people of Ain Akrine decline from two families: El Khoury Ibrahim (Kfershakhna) and Antoun Al Alam (Bshennine).

 Family El Khoury Ibrahim:

This family is the base of the village that is bisected from the followings families as known in the registry: El Khoury, El Khoury Boulos, Antonios, Ishak, Boulos, Boutros, Gerges, Doumith, Tannous, Youssef, Abdallah and Fares.

Family Al Alam:

The origin of this family became to the village of Bshennine, which is a village in Cadaa Zgharta Al Zawyet where was living Antoun Tannous Al Alam with his mother and his sister. When the way of their life was narrowed, they left Bshennine and they went to Banihran where they were living for a certain period and they were visiting frequently Ain Akrine village to participate in all spiritual celebrations. By then, a strong friendship was brought between the Ain Akrine's families and them, which was finished by the alliance. Because of this, Antoun Tannous Al Alam was coming to Ain Akrine in 1856 and was living there. So, from Antoun Al Alam were declined El Al Alam and El Antoun in Ain Akrine and Zakroun.

According to the cancellation list in the year 2001, the number of electors is 1008, distributed on 494 male electors and 514 females, which effectively exists only 650 electors in Lebanon. These people live with their families in Ain Akrine, Sheka and the seaboard region situated between Jbeil and Beirut.

What distinguish the people of Ain Akrine their level of education and knowledge, which owned the first degree of education in Cadda Al Koura.
